Keeping your kids safe: recent recalled products

Health and safety are two of my main concerns when I think about the products my family will eat.  Therefore, I always try to stay up to date with the news of recalled products.

Today I’m sharing with you all some information about products that have recently been recalled.

Peanut Butter and Almond Butter

This recall was announced on August 19th and concerns a product used on a weekly, if not on a daily basis across many households in America. The main brand names affected by this recall are MaraNatha and Arrowhead Mills. You can find the extensive list of specific products that have been recalled here:

Is it safe to say that any MaraNatha creamy almond butters or peanut butters are better off your shelf.  Whole Foods, Safeway, Kroger and Trader Joe’s are sadly in the list of stores that carry these recalled products.

Say bye-bye to chicken nuggets for a while. In August 12th a firm located in Georgia recalled approximately 15,306 pounds of frozen fully cooked chicken nuggets due to possible contamination with foreign materials.
